How to Download YouTube Videos for Dummies

This video is also applicable to other streaming video sites like Google video, Myspace…etc.  It's so simple that you will be able to download youtube videos or from other video streaming sites in minutes.

1.  You need to install the add-on VideoDownloader on your Firefox toolbar.   Go to this site.  The video will walk you through on how to install the VideoDownloader.

2.  Go to YouTube site and pick the video that you want to download.  Note:  Please be aware of the copyrights laws.  You don't want to get sued later on for posting a video by violating copyrights laws.

3.  Click on the VideoDownloader on your Toolbar and right click on download.  Choose "All Files" for the File Type. Assign your own video file name and don't forget to change the file extension to "flv".  Example: bikekid.flv"

4.  Not unless you have a flash video viewer you won't be able to view your file.  You will need a Flash video viewer.  Go to  Free Flash Player to download your Free viewer.
