How to Transfer Videos from MiniDV Tapes to My Computer

Is this You? From the first day that you got your MiniDV camcorder you just had the fun of shooting videos whatever occassion you could capture in your cool MiniDV camera.  You started using maybe two or three MiniDV tapes and then later on you found yourself running out of tapes since you have recorded so much of unedited scenes. 

And then oh yeah, you're getting tired of being bombarded by family members of asking you when can they see the video on a bigger screen or even maybe on a DVD?  You can't blame them since everybody is getting tired of watching those video in that tiny camcorder screen.

But you got video adapter to show it to your TV right, since it's unedited capture you realized that you're the only one excited watching those videos most of the time…boring..zzzzzz.

This tutorial video will show you on "how to transfer videos from MiniDV tapes to your computer" and hopefully you get those family members quit bugging you avoid those videos.

There are two important things you need to transfer those MiniDV tapes to your computer;

1.  Video editing software (there's one free already available to you, watch it on the video)

2.  Firewire cable ( 4-pin to 6-pin or 4-pin to 4-pin)

 

 

 

 

 

 

What about about those recorded video tapes not in MiniDV formats?  Are they VHS, Hi8 or the 8mm reel tapes, you need to convert those analog format videos now before they  completed degrade in quality.
